The Ring Bearer

Eric & Ashley's wedding was this weekend and Joey was the ring bearer! He did a great job and walked down the aisle like he was suppose to. He looked SO handsome in his tuxedo! But, once his duties were done, he could have carried less about what was going on. Joe had to get up and walk with him so he wouldn't disrupt the ceremony with his notifications to the crowd that there were airplanes flying overhead and they were headed to the airport. And nobody informed him that being a ring bearer meant you had to stick around for pictures afterwards....he had a more important mission on the putting green adjacent to the ceremony site (as seen in the pictures below) and when asked to take just ONE MORE you can see what his reaction was!

Easter

Of course, the Easter Bunny made a stop at our house on Sunday. I did a terrible job of taking pictures as it was a lazy day at home and as I type this post I have realized that I don't have a single picture of Jackson from his first Easter :( . With Daddy's crazy hours and a 2 week battle with a sinus infection and Jack's recent battle with the croup, we decided to stay home and let everyone get some rest. It was really nice to have some quality family time! Daddy and Joey made homemade waffles and Mommy and Joey colored Easter eggs. After naptime, the boys hunted for Easter eggs in the house (chilly and windy outside). Joey loved that the eggs had money in them and it all went straight to the piggy bank.

Jackson is 6 months old!

Can you believe he is 6 months old??!! His smile is infectious and he really is a happy baby! We think he is going to be a little long and lean.... he weighs 16 lbs 5 oz and is 26.5 inches long (Dr. L thinks the issues his recent bought with croup caused with his reflux was responsible for a little bit of the small weight gain, but no cause for concern.) Jack is rolling all over the place, has started pushing himself backwards on the floor and loves his feet!

Jack meets his girlfriend, Riann!

We had the pleasure of having our friends Devon and Riann Hilton in town this weekend. We met Riann for the first time...she and Jack are 3 weeks apart in age and we (their parents) have already arranged the marriage. Joey is also betrothed to Riann's older sister, Addison. Picture it, double ceremony! Although, Joey was very interested in everything that Riann was doing and we are afraid he may have been trying to move in on Jack's girl :)

Big Junior

Since Joey was old enough to know what a race car is he has called all cars "junior". Mommy and Daddy are big fans of "little E" so his first matchbox car was an 8 car. Then Grandmom found a big "8", thus we had "little junior" and "big junior". Even the Cars movie is known as "big junior". A few weeks ago, Grandmom and Grandpop bought Joey his first 3 wheeler which he picked out specifically because it has "big Junior" on it (Cars). He loves it!! His legs aren't quite long enough to reach the peddles yet, so he "fred flinstones" around on the sidewalk and driveway. He doesn't care how cold it is outside, if mommy says we can go out to play he would stay all day! By the way, don't call it a 3 wheeler, Joey will correct you and tell you that it is a MOTORCYCLE!
