Can you believe it....t-ball!

Joe turned to me and said, "can you believe we are here?".  It seems so hard imagine that Joey is old enough to play t-ball and also to realize that this is just the beginning of my time as the 'taxi'. So, we begin our journey...Today was Joey's first game as an Angel. I know that much of the family back home will not be happy with the team name, but as I told Eric, there is nothing I could do about it :).  He was so excited and couldn't wait to put his baseball pants on today. We received his shirt and hat when we arrived at the field and boy does he look good in it! It was then time for a little warm up and some instruction. The funniest part was watching him do jumping jacks...needless to say, we haven't quite mastered the coordination of arms and legs. Joey listened so well and followed all the coaches instruction. Once the game started, he put on a show! When it was his first time to field, the batter hit a blooper right in front of the tee. He charged the mound, picked up the ball, but instead of throwing to his coach at first base, he ran her down at first! Love it!  When it was his turn to bat, Joey made contact on the first swing and was one of the few kids who immediately dropped his bat and ran to first. During his second turn fielding, he charged the ball and threw it right to his coach at first. I know my play-by-play might be little over dramatic, but Joey really did so well and we, of course, are very proud parents!
