Jack meets his girlfriend, Riann!

We had the pleasure of having our friends Devon and Riann Hilton in town this weekend. We met Riann for the first time...she and Jack are 3 weeks apart in age and we (their parents) have already arranged the marriage. Joey is also betrothed to Riann's older sister, Addison. Picture it, double ceremony! Although, Joey was very interested in everything that Riann was doing and we are afraid he may have been trying to move in on Jack's girl :)

Big Junior

Since Joey was old enough to know what a race car is he has called all cars "junior". Mommy and Daddy are big fans of "little E" so his first matchbox car was an 8 car. Then Grandmom found a big "8", thus we had "little junior" and "big junior". Even the Cars movie is known as "big junior". A few weeks ago, Grandmom and Grandpop bought Joey his first 3 wheeler which he picked out specifically because it has "big Junior" on it (Cars). He loves it!! His legs aren't quite long enough to reach the peddles yet, so he "fred flinstones" around on the sidewalk and driveway. He doesn't care how cold it is outside, if mommy says we can go out to play he would stay all day! By the way, don't call it a 3 wheeler, Joey will correct you and tell you that it is a MOTORCYCLE!

For our 5th anniversary last summer, Joe gave me a Nikon D60 SLR. It takes beautiful pictures, but I am still trying to figure all of the buttons out 9 months later. So, last week I was trying things out on Jack. You would never know by looking at him that he was congested, had his first ear infection and was 24 hours away from cutting his first tooth!

Friday Night Smackdown

It is a long story of how everyone ended up in only diapers on Friday night....Mommy & Daddy "started" a little wrestling match so we would have an idea of what is surely to come as the boys get older.

Shabbat Abba...kind of!

Joey was designated as the Shabbat Abba (Father) for his preschool class this week. In school, he and the Shabbat Eema (Mother) lead the class in the daily ceremony and he was the "holder of the wine glass". But on Fridays, they have school wide ceremony lead by the childrens music director and Rabbi, which Joe and I attended. At a certain point, Joey was suppose to go up to the front with the other "Eemas and Abbas" and help lead the group in song. Needless to say, with Daddy there, it did not go as planned. He did not want to and Daddy had to take Joey up there. Joe thought he would sit down low and watch but that did not work either. In the end, Daddy was a Shabbat Abba too!
